The Union of Sisters of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, generally known as the Presentation Sisters, was founded in Ireland in 1775. The Presentation Sisters-Union includes 1600 Sisters in communities located in England India, Ireland, Israel, Latin America, New Zealand, North America, Pakistan, The Philippines, Slovakia, Thailand, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
We are active, apostolic, Catholic religious women participating in the mission of Jesus in the United States of America. Inspired by Nano Nagle, our Foundress, we participate in the gospel call of libration and social transformation.
Through education and empowerment we endeavor to bring relief to the exploited. We collaborate with others in witnessing the gospel challenge to make visible the values of human dignity, freedom, and justice among all peoples, especially the poor and the powerless.
As vowed women with listening, contemplative hearts, guided by the Holy Spirit, we contribute to the renewal of the church and the vitality of her mission.
