LOCAL PRESENTATION SISTERS HISTORY:

The Arbor Community is located in the inner city, west side of San Antonio. It's mainly a transient immigrant community. The recent immigrants do not read, write or Sisters Dina and Jocelyn in front of the Ministry Centerspeak English. About 41% of the adult residents have not completed high school. Most of the adults work in day labor, housekeeping, caregivers, and construction. The average annual family income is about $12,000, and more than half of the families live below the National poverty level.

In the future, we as a community, see ourselves continuing to be attentive to the voiced needs and concerns of the people in our areas and seek ways of helping them help themselves.
