A Planned Gift guarantees the distribution of your property according to your wishes, and is an expression of extraordinary commitment to the mission and ministry of the Presentation Sisters. A Planned Gift is a gift of love that will have a lasting impact on the ministry of the Presentation Sisters. There are many forms of Planned Giving. Several examples are listed below. Before making any Planned Gifts, please consult with your attorney and/or income tax advisor.
CASH GIFTS
Your cash gift, in any amount, given in your lifetime or as a bequest of your estate, will be graciously accepted. You may choose to donate to a specific Presentation Sisters' ministry or specify that your gift be used where the need is greatest.
MATCHING GIFTS
Many employers have matching gift programs. Through your payroll deduction you can double your gift to the Presentation Sisters. A matched gift helps you to further the mission of our foundress, Nano Nagle.
CHARITABLE GIFT ANNUITIES
The contribution of cash or appreciated assets in exchange for a Charitable Gift Annuity is another option. Doing so enables you to receive a significant income during your lifetime while minimizing taxes as well as benefiting the Presentation Sisters with the gift portion of the annuity.
GIFTS OF STOCKS, BONDS, and TANGIBLE ASSETS
This form of Planned Giving allows you to contribute securities, paid-up life insurance, or other types of property directly to the Presentation Sisters. If given during your lifetime, you may receive a deduction based on the current market value on the date of the gift, and make a difference on your capital gains taxes.
BEQUESTS THROUGH WILLS and TRUSTS
Making your wishes known creating a current, valid Will and/or Trust is the most important step in planning for your loved ones, and for those charitable organizations you wish to support, without regard to the size of your estate.
You alone should decide the way in which your estate will be distributed. Careful advanced planning is essential to ensure your wishes are honored. In the absence of a Will or Trust, the state you live in or the federal government may gain control of your estate. As you prepare your Will or Trust, be assured that your gift will perpetuate the future of the Presentation Sisters' ministries.
CHARITABLE TRUSTS
Trusts come in various forms. A Trust can assist you in estate planning while affording you the opportunity to make a sizable contribution to the Presentation Sisters.
LIFE INSURANCE POLICY
A paid-up life insurance policy could become a gift to the Presentation Sisters as well as an income tax deduction for its cash value.

The Presentation Sisters are engaged in the unique work of evangelization, education of the poor, and relief to the exploited. Many of their ministries are totally or partially supported by your generous donations. Your gift, in any
amount, is a way to provide for the future of these ministries, and will be accepted with deep gratitude. Below are examples of these ministries. You may also request that your gift go to where the need is greatest.
PRESENTATION LEARNING CENTER
Five years ago, our Province established the Presentation Learning Center in the Watts neighborhood of Los Angeles, CA. Our Sisters teach Spanish speaking adults, the majority of whom are recent immigrants from Mexico and Central America, English as a Second Language, U.S. Citizenship preparation, Computerskills, Crafts, Sewing, Music, Dancing,
Nutrition, Art, etc. To visit the Presentation Learning Center web page, click here.
PRESENTATION MINISTRY CENTER
In September 2005, our Province established the Presentation Ministry Center in the inner city, west side of San Antonio, TX. The vision of the Ministry Center is to "be a space where people feel welcome and accepted." To this end, the Ministry Center offers classes in English as a Second Language, basic Computer skills, Health and Wellness, Citizenship preparation, Sewing, and Crafts. SISTERS' EDUCATION PROGRAM
Your donation to this effort will provide opportunity for the training of a
Presentation Sister in an area of ministry, or the retraining of a Sister who moves to a new area of ministry. All of our Sisters need ongoing education as they respond to the changing needs in our church society.
RETIRED SISTERS SPONSORSHIP
As many of our Sisters have reached retirement age, and no longer receive a stipend for their ministry, it becomes more and more difficult to provide for their support. Because the dollar amount of the stipends paid to these Sisters
during their active years was minimal, Social Security benefits are insufficient to cover their actual cost of living in retirement. You can participate in our "Adopt-a-Sister" program by pledging support to one Sister on a monthly basis.
STUDENT SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM
Your gift in any amount will help to provide tuition assistance to children who, due to family illness or financial difficulties, would be unable to continue in Catholic school without this support. As a donor, you will be remembered in the daily prayers of the Presentation Sisters.
