On August 23, 2026, Sisters Georgiana Sprunk, Paula Ringuette and Marie Glennon celebrated the 70th anniversary of profession of their religious vows as Sisters of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. They are three of the five women who entered the convent in the fall of 1953 and completed the novitiate. Their companions, Sisters Maureen Walker and Del Rey Rudnick, are deceased. His Excellency Bishop John Folda was celebrant of Mass and officiant of the vow renewal ceremony. S. Georgiana is a native of the Chaffee area; S. Paula grew up in Jamestown and Fargo and S. Marie is from Ireland. S. Paula taught in diocesan schools and worked in parish and diocesan ministries while Ss. Georgiana and Marie served primarily in health care—Georgiana in radiology and medical technology, Marie in nursing and chaplaincy. Past co-workers and former students and other friends as well as family members from Ireland and several states attended the liturgy and social events of the day.
