Obituary Notice for Sister Vianney Buckley:
Sister Vianney Buckley, (Hannah Maria) member of the Union of Sisters of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, born December 6, 1925, died peacefully on Monday, July 17, 2023, at Villa de San Antonio, San Antonio, TX. She is preceded in death by her parents, Timothy and Mary Anne Buckley, her sisters, Elizabeth, Peggy (Sister Vincent, PBVM), Nora (Sister Barbara, PBVM), Mary, Nelly, Kathy (Sister Immaculata, PBVM) and her brother, Dermot. Sadly missed by numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and cousins in Ireland and the members of her Religious Congregation. Sister Vianney was a native of Clounmacon, Listowel, Co. Kerry Ireland. She served as a Presentation Sister in the ministry of education in Cork, Ireland, Sacramento, CA, Salt Lake City, UT, Mesa, AZ, Robertsdale, AL and San Bruno, CA.
Our dear Sister Vianney’s funeral will be at St. Matthew’s Church in San Antonio, TX.
Rosary at 9:15 a.m., Mass at 10:15 a.m., burial at Holy Cross Cemetery at 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday, August 2, 2023. Note: Times are CDT. The services in the church will be live-streamed at:
