On June 9, 2026, following the annual luncheon and update hosted by Friendship, Inc. for the Sisters, the assembly planted a tree in commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the Congregation of Presentation Sisters. The tree is a Prairie Oak, developed jointly by North Dakota State University and Iowa State University to thrive in the hot summers and cold winters of the northern prairies. It appears perfectly at home in its new location near the retention pond behind the Friendship Administration Building.
During the planting ceremony, participants reflected on the fact that the phrase “all in my power” appears at least ten times in Nano Nagle’s letters. That commitment—to do all in our power—is what we strive to live out in her memory and as we carry her charism into the future.
